The History
Instant Pot has been around since 2010 (read the story here). However, the Instant pot did not have the Air Fry feature. Ninja a company that specialized in high quality blenders came out with the first combination of electric pressure cooker, multi-cooker and air fryer in 2018. Instant Pot did not want to be left out in a game it started so they released the Instant Pot Duo Crisp in 2019.
Like all Instant pot models, the Duo Crisp is great quality at an a good price. Ninja is also known for great quality and the Ninja Foodi electric Pressure cooker does not disappoint.
Lid / Cover Design
Both the Ninja Foodi and the Instant Pot Duo Crisp have 2 lids. One Lid is used for cooking and another lid is used for air frying.
The Ninja Foodi OP500UK has one hinged lid for air frying and and detachable cooking lid. Some users like the hinged lid because it stays on the cooker and you don’t have to make room for it on your kitchen counter. However some other users dislike it because it is awkward to have a lid open on your cooker while you are using the cooking lid. You may also find that, the lids are easier to clean when they can be detached.

On the other hand, the Instant Pot Duo Crisp, has two detachable lids. Yes it means you have to have a special spot in your kitchen to keep the extra lid. These lids are not small either. However, cleaning is easier for those who prefer this.
