The Tefal CY505E40 all-in-one electric pressure cooker is an excellent kitchen companion, like any electric pressure cooker. Since I discovered electric pressure cookers, I cannot imagine a kitchen without one. It’s easy to use and saves a lot of time as you can choose from any of the 25 cooking programs. It’s good for fast cooking steaming, browning, simmering, and also helps keep your cooking warm. While creating a great kitchen experience and speeding up cooking, the all-in-one pressure cooker offers recipes for soups, stews, sauce, rice, vegetable steaming, baby foods, and porridge.

This is not the only electric pressure cooker by Tefal. The Cook4me by Tefal is another electric pressure cooker and multi-cooker. It is on my list of best electric pressure cookers in UK.

Set and forget

You can put in ingredients and liquid in the put, the all-in-one electric pressure cooker starts cooking at the set time, soon as the cooking is done it’s shuts off.

DIY Chef Mode

The DIY chef mode allows users to set their preferred temperature and timer when preparing meals that are pre-programmed. This a very important feature because some electric pressure cookers do not allow you to increase the temperature or pressure. Some recipes do well with higher pressure settings than others. When browning or cooking without the lid on, you may want to have a higher temperature. This cooker allows you to change the temperature and pressure.

Hinged Pot Cover

It has its lid hinged to the cooker, that way it doesn’t mess up your kitchen counter or take up space. Some users like this and some don’t. Personally it doesn’t bother me. I like the idea that you don’t need to think of a place to set the lid on the kitchen counter.

Safety Features

It has a hinged lid, the lid is steady and locks tightly when the pot is in use. And makes it safe for cooking. Also the pressure release bottom lets pressure out of the pot, that way your hands are safe from the steam. It also has a shut off system, where it shuts off power whenever a problem is detected.

I noticed that careful attention is paid to ensure user’s safety.

One-button steam release

The steam release bottom is a bottom at the top of the pot that helps to release steam from the pot before opening the hinged lid. It’s important to release the steam, the avoid getting hurt by the steam.
